The soft launch of ACCCRN Bangladesh was held at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) in Dhaka with a seminar on Sustainable Development  Goals (SDGs) organized by the Gobeshona “Research on climate change in Bangladesh” forum on 17th November, 2015. There were 68 participants from a range of government agencies, universities, NGOs, urban experts, and research organizations.

At the event, Sarder Shafiqul Alam, the ACCCRN coordinator in Bangladesh, gave a presentation titled, “Sustainable cities and Long Term Planning: Soft Launching of ACCCRN-ICCCAD Bangladesh Initiative”.

In his presentation, Alam introduced several ACCCRN initiatives to build climate resilient cities, presented a draft concept called the ACCCRN Bangladesh Knowledge Platform, and announced the soft launch of ACCCRN Bangladesh. He also asked participants to provide comments and feedback on the knowledge platform concept. He further requested the participants to join the ACCCRN network by visiting its website and also explained the perks and responsibilities of membership.
